Regular Events: This is a listing and description of the regular events that take place at the store.
Casual Magic: Takes place on: Every Tuesday of the week. On this night people will bring their casual decks and play magic as it was intended to be: fun. Whether it's a whacky deck that wins by turn three, a deck that creates 100+ Homarid tokens, or you just want to have some trading time; this is your night. Cost: $2.00 per head (general games room charge) Special Event Magic: Takes place on: Every Friday night of the week. This is a night where Magic players pay a bit extra to take part in special events such as a tournament or a draft. The way a tournament works is each player pays a set cost (usually $5.00, depending on the tournament and prize support) and plays in a series of swiss rounds to determine a winner and a runner-up. The winner, runner-up as well as a random player who didn't place 1st or 2nd then are rewarded prizes. Prizes will usually always be store credit and/or sealed M:TG product. A draft is more costly only because each player will need sealed product to play. The prizes are similar to a tournament, and each player will always get to keep the material they drafted with. A usual three pack draft costs $15.00 per person. If you pay for an event on this day, your usual $2.00 cover charge is covered! Also, we intend to get sanctioning by Wizards of the Coast within the first month of our store opening so we can run Friday Night Magic (FNM) events at our store. For more information on how FNM or draft works, visit Here and Here. Also, we will be updating the forums with complete explainations of what events we run, and how they work! Bluewater Meccano Club: Takes place on: To be announced! Many people are already familiar with Mr. Meccano and his exciting educational workshops involving Meccano at schools throughout the Bluewater district. Now at Scenic City Games, you can work with Meccano during the summer too! We're still figuring out the times and cost for the events, but we will keep you posted! In the meantime feel free to discuss it with Mr.Meccano on the forums here or just send him and email at mr.meccano@bmts.com . More Events to Come |
